If you are returning, what department(s) did you volunteer with? Please mark all that apply.
When are you available to volunteer?
A little about the departments that accept volunteers and some of the jobs to be filled:
Build* - A glimpse behind the scenes. These pre-season shifts are very physical. From helping hanging signs, putting up fences & sight blinds, to doing FOD (Foreign Object Debris) walks and cleaning up the site.
Care Crew - This department helps out every other department. This includes crowd control, supplementing vacant volunteer positions in other departments, merchant supports, and more.
Credential Office - An "office" type of position helping our participants navigate through the credentialing system. (The credential is essentially your ticket to the faire.)
Gate Crew - Helping with the security of our events, volunteers staff gates that are mainly for Participants.
Guest Camping - (at WMRF only) These shifts are primarily on Fridays helping direct the patron campers to the correct spot.
Hot Shot Crew - This unique behind the scenes volunteer opportunity is for the handy persons who love to problems solve and fix things. This position is a physical position that does require being able to lift, carry, and stand.
Info Booth, Lost & Found, and Guest Adventures* - This are great positions for persons who are passionate about interacting with the public. These positions require traditional low to middle class garb.
Merchant Layout & Check In: These shifts are scheduled during the week leading up to each event. The individuals signing up for this shift should be decent with math, patient, and able to stand/walk for the duration of their shift.
Parking -Friendly faces needed! The volunteers in the parking lot are some of the first persons our guests see. Helping direct cars to park safely and efficiently.
Participant Camping - These shifts are primarily on Fridays helping direct the participant campers to the correct spot.
Sanitation - A tidy site is a happy site! Because the nature of this job, our sanitation volunteers join in for a three hour shift. This crew helps empty trash bags, taking them to the dumpsters, as well as use grabbers to help keep the grounds free of rubbish.
Towne Gate Crew*: A fast paced crew helping patrons enter and exit the event in a safe and efficient manner. Having fun interactions with Patrons whom are excited to be at the event is just one perks of this team. Traditional faire garb is required for these shifts.
